Your Home Building Questions Answered by Classic Homes

We’ve noticed over the years that people tend to ask specific questions about our home building process. To help you get acquainted with how we work, we’re answering some of those questions here.

These are 5 of the most common questions we’re asked at Classic Homes:

1. If I want to make changes to one of your floorplans, is that something you can accommodate?

Yes! All our floorplans are semi-custom, and we can absolutely modify them to suit your needs. You can add bedrooms or specialty rooms such as solariums, change a room from one purpose to another, move the primary suite to the first floor and much more.

2. Do you have lots for sale or do we need to have our own?

We do not have an inventory of lots, since most homes we build are part of our On Your Lot process. If you’re searching for a lot or land, we can help you by performing complimentary lot assessments. We’re also happy to let you know about any off-market lot opportunities we come across in your desired area.

3. Are your exteriors interchangeable?

Yes! We can put any exterior on any floorplan. Our exterior styles include Modern, Contemporary, Mediterranean, Colonial and more. You can personalize each option with your selections of colors, hardware, lighting and other finish details. Some plans allow you to add a balcony, expand a porch and create other outdoor spaces.

4. How many floorplans do you have?

We have 22 semi-custom floorplans. While the majority of our homeowners prefer to work off an existing plan and make changes to suit their needs, we can also do a fully custom plan if you prefer.

5. What areas do you build in? 

Our northern VA building area includes Arlington County, City of Alexandria, Fairfax County, Falls Church City, Loudoun County and Prince William County.
